Hey Reader, Do You Believe in Ghosts? I do. Or at least—I’ve had enough strange experiences that I can’t totally rule it out. One of the creepiest moments I’ve ever had happened when I was about 4 or 5 years old. It’s actually one of my very first memories. My mom had just tucked me in for the night and closed the bedroom door behind her, but she’d left the hallway light on. I was still wide awake, lying on my back… when I saw him. A young boy quietly walked up to the side of my bed. He didn’t speak. He didn’t blink. He just stared at me. He had dark hair, dark eyes, and something strange about the skin on his face—almost like scars or burns. I couldn’t move. I couldn’t speak. I wanted to call out for my mom, but I was frozen. After what felt like forever, he simply vanished. But it didn’t end there. He came back. A lot. I used to tell my mom about him and just called him “Him.” Not very original, I know, but I was little. I’d tell her that Him was in the closet or just standing in the room watching me. She told me years later how much it freaked her out when I talked about Him so casually, like he was just part of our house. When we moved to a new house in 1984, the visits stopped. I never saw Him again. Maybe it was just a figment of a child’s imagination—but to this day, I still remember his face like it was yesterday. 👻 Want to hear more ghost stories? Let me know—I have a few! 📌 Reader-Favorite Recipe: Sunshine Salad ☀️If you’re looking for an easy, refreshing dessert or side dish that feels like summer in a bowl, this Sunshine Salad is it! It’s one of those recipes that’s simple to throw together but always gets compliments. Made with chunks of fresh pineapple, sweet mandarin oranges (juice and all!), and sliced bananas, it’s all tossed with a surprise ingredient—dry vanilla pudding mix. That’s right, no milk needed! The pudding mix blends with the fruit juices to create a light, creamy coating that’s downright irresistible. Just pop it in the fridge for at least an hour to let everything chill and mingle. It’s perfect for potlucks, brunches, or whenever you need a little sunshine on your plate. ☀️ 👉 Get the full recipe here.
